Athens, OH
Over the opposition of neighbors, the Athens Planning Commission has approved new construction on an East Side residential street by Integrated Services of Appalachian Ohio.
Also yesterday, a judge denied the neighbors request for a court order to temporarily stop the project on Graham Drive.
Integrated Services is a non-profit organization that provides housing and other services, and it now has city approval to build a two or three story structure.
Attorney Garry Hunter represents the neighbors group.
He says the group will continue with their lawsuit, which contends city officials did not follow proper procedures.
