The West Muskingum Tornadoes are headed into their 2011 football season with only one way to go: up. The Tornadoes of 2010 were looking at a 0-9 start to their season before they were able to edge out Claymont in the last game of their season to give them a final record of 1-9. The positive news for West Muskingum is that it can’t get any worse.  If the Tornadoes look to turn things around this year, it will all start with the offense.

Last year the Tornado offense was held to 13 or fewer points in seven of their games, including their season ending victory.  Coach Paul Perry has a lot to improve for this upcoming season and he needs to show positive signs right out of the gate because his teams schedule early in the season is no joke.  West Muskingum kicks off their season at home against River View.  Then the Tornadoes start their conference play as they take on the two bet teams that the MVL has to offer.  Week 2 they travel to play at Sheridan and week 3 they return home to take on Tri-Valley.  Coach Perry’s team will look to ride their one-game win streak from last season into this year, but don’t be surprised if they are in the same position as last year heading into week 4.
