Sunpower Incorporated will have a grand opening next week.
The Athens company on Wednesday will show off its new $3 million facility, which is located in the State Side Technology Park.
Sunpower says it "has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and anticipates continuing growth due to recent and ongoing contracts with NASA and NASA-related projects."
Sunpower has doubled in size over the past four years to nearly 90 employees.
The company says it "needed to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities, so the decision was made to relocate" to the East State Street Technology Park.
Sunpower makes electric generators, medical devices, and nuclear material detection devices, using Stirling engines.
