FBI Agents are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Perry County.

The First National Bank of McConnelsville, located on West Main Street in Junction City, was robbed shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

Investigators say a man wearing a long, black wig entered the bank and handed a note to the teller stating that he was robbing the bank and wanted money.

The teller complied and gave him cash from the drawer.

No weapon was observed, but witnesses say the robber was seen putting his hands on his waist as though he was carrying a gun.

After taking the money, the man was seen fleeing the scene on foot.

The robber was described as a white male, approximately between 20 – 30 years old, 5'11", thin build, wearing a white baseball cap with dark writing or logo on the front of the cap, sunglasses, long, black wig, red OSU sweatshirt, clear food server-style gloves, and blue jeans," said FBI Agent Harry Trombitas.

Agent Trombitas requests that anyone with information about the case should contact the Perry County Sheriff's Office at 740-342-4123 or the FBI in Athens at 740-593-6473.
