The Zanesville Museum of Art is hosting the 34th Annual Ohio Watercolor Society Exhibition, featuring 65 paintings by Society members from Ohio, California, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
This prestigious exhibition will open with a public reception on Sept. 17 from 1-4 p.m. and will continue through Nov. 26.
The subjects and styles vary widely, with portraits, exotic landscapes, animal images, florals, architecture and scenes from daily life. Four free public watercolor demonstrations will presented during the course of the exhibition.
The Ohio Watercolor Society was organized in 1978 in order to advance the stature of watercolor as a major painting medium, to assist in arts education, and to foster appreciation.
