Washington County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a Zanesville man wanted on aggravated murder charges.

Officers say Joey Hampton, 21, is considered armed and dangerous. They believe he was hiding out in western Washington County after a drive-by shooting that left a 22-year-old man dead on Sept. 10.  According to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff, Hampton was a known crack cocaine dealer who allegedly shot the man for "messing with his family."

Deputies searched a home on State Route 555 in Cutler, but were unable to locate Hampton.

Hampton is described as six feet tall, 185 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 740-376-7070.
