Alexander Spartans at Frontier Cougars

After shutting out the Unioto Shermans 35-0, the Spartans put their undefeated record on the line as they travel to take on the struggling Frontier Cougars.  The Cougars are looking for their first win of the season.  Look for the potent Spartan defense to frustrate the Cougars, as the Cougars have not scored more than six points in any of their games this season.

Nelsonville-York Buckeyes at Bishop Ready Silver Knights

Nelsonville-York continued to roll in week three defeating Berne Union 57-0.  After the first three games of the season, the Buckeyes have outscored their opponents 133-18.  Do not expect a blowout in week four.  Nelsonville-York travels to Columbus to take on the 2-1 Bishop Ready Silver Knights.  The Silver Knights are expected to be the Buckeyes first real test of the season.  They come from the Central Catholic League and are coached by Larry Wolf.  Look for the Buckeyes to try to establish Running Back Dustin Young early, to free up receiver Daniel Kline in the passing game.

Oak Hill Oaks at Wellston Rockets

After a heartbreaking loss to Galia Academy 14-12, Wellston looks to get back to the .500 mark against the winless Oak Hill Oaks.  After a strong 2010 campaign, where the Oaks went 11-2, they have struggled this year with a record of 0-3.  Oak Hill’s offense has especially been porous.  The Oaks have only scored a combined 14 points in their first three games.  Look for the Rockets to bring pressure early and often to the Oaks offensive line.

Vinton County Vikings at Waverly Tigers

Vinton County looks to bounce back after a blowout loss to Jackson 42-0.  The 1-2 Vikings will try to take their frustrations out on the 0-3 Waverly Tigers.  Do not let the record of the Tigers fool you.  The three losses Waverly has accumulated have been to three very strong teams; Piketon, Jackson, and Western Brown.  If Vinton County wants to match as many wins as they had last season at two, Justy Burleson will have to have his kids playing their A game.
