On the ground, those who experienced the tornado on September 16, 2010 knew the damage caused was major.
Trees were down and homes were destroyed in an instant.
But, the extent of the devestation was even more apparent in the view from the sky.
The Athens County Emergency Management Agency went up in a helicopter and took video of the damage.
Much of the video looks at the Matheny Road area.
Significant damage was done to the Pine-Air Village Trailer Park, the Athens High School Football Stadium and the Autotech Facility on East State Street.
No one was killed in the tornado, but several people were injured.
