After a successful – but not perfect – week, Ohio volleyball enters Mid-American Conference play at 8-6 after winning four of its five matches this past week. The 'Cats have a gigantic weekend ahead of them, with home contests against undefeated Bowling Green (12-0) and rival Miami (9-5).

Ohio beat Pittsburgh in a thrilling five-set match before traveling to Georgia Southern's pre-season tournament, where it won three of four matches in less than two days.

Post Wins MAC Weekly

Katie Post earned her fifth career MAC Player of the Week award and her first of the season when she was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week after helping the Bobcats go 4-1 last week.

At Georgia Southern University's "Bash in the Boro," Post led the team in kills, service aces and blocks as she tallied 49, six, and 16 respectively. Ohio went 3-1 for the weekend and Post had 10 or more kills in every match, including a season high 16 against Presbyterian to wrap up the weekend.

Post was recognized as an All-MAC player in the preseason and was an All-MAC selection in 2010. She also finished with Ohio’s single season records for block assists and total blocks tallying 195 last season. She led the MAC in both those categories and finished seventh in the country in blocks per set.

Ohio will look for more production from Post this weekend when Bowling Green (12-0) and Miami (9-5) come to the Convo to kick off MAC play.
