The Ohio University Volleyball team is off and rolling in MAC season play.

The green and white dominated Bowling Green in 3 sets, and they capped the weekend with another 3 set sweep against the Miami Redhawks.

Saturday’s game was the annual Dig Pink event against the Miami Redhawks where the Bobcats rocked pink jerseys in support of Breast Cancer Awarness.

Also, the first 500 fans received Dig Pink T-shirts, and proceeds for the event went towards breast cancer research.

The Bobcats overwhelmed the Redhawks in the first set winning it 25-14.

In the second set, the Redhawks challenged Ohio; however, the Bobcats pulled out a 25-20 victory.

The third set was all Ohio, as they powered Miami 25-15.

Kelly Lamberti led the Cats' offensive attack with 18 kills.

Ohio University Head Volleyball Coach Ryan Theis was content with the win, but he would have liked to spread the offensive game out more.

“We scored a lot of points out of 3 positions. I think if we can consistently get 4 players scoring a bunch of points we’re going be really tough to defend. This game was a Kelly Lamberti show and will have to be more diverse in the future,” said Theis.

Middle blocker Katie Post and uutside hitter Chelsea Bilger added 7 kills each to the Bobcats scoring load.

Post is hopeful that the team’s performance this past weekend will get the team going.

"Hopefully we can maintain a level of play. We played really well the past few days at home. If we can just continue that and just be able to play our best volleyball by the end of the season,” said Post.

Ohio is now 10-6 overall with a conference record of 2-0. Next up for the Bobcats is home game against Kentucky State on Thursday.
