The senior ducked and dodged defenders all night leading the Bulldogs to a decisive 56-9 victory. Sharp compiled 193 rushing yards and four total touchdowns for Athens with the pink eye paint on Breast Cancer Awareness night. After first half scores of 62 (punt return), 46, and 35 yards, Meigs’s entire team was left deflated.

QB Josh Skinner threw for 90 yards on just five completions and ran for 74 yards of his own. Altogether, Athens’s offensive attack piled up 437 yards on the ground.

Defensive back Nate Skinner intercepted two passes in the first half for the Bulldogs - one of which was returned for a touchdown. That score would, however, be called back because of an unnecessary roughness penalty behind the play during the return.

Meigs’s only touchdown came on a one yard run by Charlie Barrett in the first quarter. The score was 14-7 after the run.
