After the first week of TVC-Ohio play, the top three teams during the nonconference asserted themselves as the teams to beat inside the conference. Alexander, Athens, and Nelsonville-York dominated their opponents to stay undefeated at 6-0.
The Alexander Spartans welcomed the Vinton County Vikings to Albany. The game immediately became the Trey Bennett show. The first-year quarterback accounted for seven of the eight Spartan touchdowns, en route to a 53-15 win. The Vikings dropped to (1-5) on the year. The schedule does not get any easier, as Vinton County travels to play the undefeated Athens Bulldogs.
Nelsonville-York continued to roll in week six, as they thumped the Wellston Rockets 48-0. The Buckeyes travel to Meigs to take on Head Coach Mike Chancey and the Marauders in week seven. The Rockets go to take on the Spartans in Alexander.
After just six weeks, the Athens Bulldogs have already won more games, five, than in 2010. The undefeated Bulldogs dominated the surprising Meigs Marauders 56-9.
