Many Offices Closed For Columbus Day

Federal, state and many local offices are closed as Ohio observes Columbus Day.
Metered parking is free in cities including Columbus and Toledo.
Though the Secretary of State's office is closed for the holiday on Monday, officials at the state elections agency remind would-be voters that Tuesday is the deadline for registering for the Nov. 8 election.
Mailed registration forms must be postmarked no later than Oct. 11, which is Tuesday's date.
Some local elections boards are open Monday to accommodate both people who want to register and early voters.
