According to reports from The Columbus Dispatch, the highways are now open but most ramps are closed between I-270 and State Route 161.
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced parts of Interstate 270 will be closed through tonight's rush hour traffic.
The closures are the result of a tanker truck rollover from last night involving hazardous materials.
ODOT lists the following affected roads:
-Interstate 270 east is closed at 7
-Interstate 270 north is closed at 670
-SR 161 west at Hamilton Road
-SR 161 east at Westerville Road
-SR 161 east or west can not access 270
ODOT reports the following ramps are also closed:
-Cleveland Avenue to 270 east
-State Route 3 to 270 east
-Sunbury Road to SR 161 west and 270 south
Traffic officials encourage motorists to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
