Update: Positive ID Of Vinton County Fire Victim Still Pending

UPDATE at 2:15 p.m.:    Investigators are still trying to positively identify the man found dead inside a burned down mobile home in Vinton County.

Ohio State Fire Marshal's Spokesman Shane Cartmill says officials are trying to identify the victim through medical records.

The fire happened Friday night at a mobile home on Albright Road near Laurelville.

The fire has been ruled an arson and the death of the man has been ruled a homicide.

Cartmill says no other details are being released except for the fact that the victim died before the fire started.

Fire debris and other evidence collected at the scene are now being analyzed by the forensic laboratory.

A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward of up to $5,000 is now being offered for information in the case.
