Two Arrested In Connection With Athens-Area Break-Ins

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly says the two people arrested for break-ins in the Athens area are not connected to a series of home burglaries that have occurred in The Plains.

Kelly says deputies executed a search warrant on State Route 682 in The Plains and found multiple items that were stolen out of vehicles.

They arrested a 17-year-old female and Shawn Brooks, 24.

He says the two confessed to committing break-ins near University Commons apartments, but are not responsible for the burglaries in The Plains area.
