Authorities say a shooting that involved the occupants of a car has left two men dead and a woman injured.

Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp tells multiple media outlets that the woman who was driving stopped, got out of the vehicle and was then shot by one of her two male passengers late Monday afternoon.

Thorp says that man then shot the other man and himself while the car remained parked on a road near Pataskala, 17 miles east of Columbus.

The sheriff says the shooting followed an argument. Authorities have not released names or said anything about the relationship of the three people.

The Columbus Dispatch reports the woman was hospitalized in Columbus in serious condition.
