Conservationist and TV personality Jack Hanna says he supports natural gas drilling, which is also known as fracking.
Hanna says people are tired of hearing that the world is going to end.
He says the word "endangered" has been overused, and that he has no problem with Marcellus Shale gas drilling, or fracking.
Hanna says he plans to incorporate discussions of fracking sites that are near his 10,000 acre conservation center in southeastern Ohio into the tours he gives.
Hanna hopes energy companies will fund his conservation efforts, and he says such businesses can help save wildlife. He's director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and has hosted popular TV shows such as Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures.
