Young Indicted In Heroin Case

A man from The Plains has been indicted after investigators say he was found with 70 balloons of heroin hidden in a body cavity.

Ronald Young, 54, is charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession of Heroin, and Tampering with Evidence.

Sheriff's deputies say they intercepted Young with a 100 balloon heroin shipment on State Route 33 in Nelsonville last week.

Then, they say, they interviewed Young and discovered an additional 70 balloons were lodged in his rectal area.

Investigators say the drugs came from Columbus and Columbus Police stopped the provider of the heroin after a transaction between Young and the Columbus dealers.

Young's arraignment in scheduled for November 2.
