The last week of the regular season in the TVC-Hocking ends with Trimble(6-3) vs. Federal Hocking(4-5).

It was a cold, rainy night at Federal Hocking, but Trimble showed no signs of slowing down.

They started off the game by forcing a three and out on defense, getting the ball at the Lancer’s 40-yard line and scoring on a 24 yard TD run by Cyrus Jones.

Trimble led early 7-0 and never looked back from this point forward as they kept tacking on the points and holding up on defense.

The next Federal Hocking drive would be its best all game as they completed a 21 yard pass on 3rd and 19 to get into Trimble territory.

Unfortunately, Connor Standley was able to intercept the next pass down at their 6-yard line to stall the drive.

Trimble capitalized by going 94 yards down the field and ending the drive on a 15-yard TD run by Cyrus Jones again.

In the second quarter, nothing changed for Federal Hocking on either side of the ball. They threw a screen pass that was intercepted by Trimble’s Austin Downs and returned 55 yards for a TD, but the extra point was blocked to make it 20-0 Trimble.

That block gave Federal Hocking some momentum and they returned the ensueing kickoff to Trimble’s 42-yard line.

Once again, when Federal Hocking had something going, a turnover got in the way as they fumbled the ball and Trimble recovered at their own 19-yard line.

On the next Federal Hocking possession, Austin Keith picked them off at his own 46-yard line to make four turnovers in one half for Federal Hocking.

Trimble started their last drive of the half at their own 43-yard line and decided to go for it on fourth and nine with 30 seconds remaining.  Quarterback Justin Jewell ran for 14 yards down to the 29 to convert it and keep the drive alive.

With two seconds remaining at Federal Hocking’s 29, Trimble ran a QB draw with Justin Jewell, who made several defenders miss and scored from 29 yards out.  They decided to go for two, but could not get it so Trimble led at the half 26-0.

Trimble would go on to win the game 32-0 and finish the season 7-3 overall and place second in the TVC-Hocking.
