The Friends and Neighbors Community Choice Food Center wants to change its location.

The center is currently located in Lottridge, but center managers are planning to move to a new facility near Coolville.

Center Director Lisa Roberts says the organization is too large for its current location and moving will come with benefits.

"Size is a huge factor. We'll be able to have some warehouse space and then that means we'll be able to bring more food in at a time so we can serve more to the public as our ability to bring it in increases," says Roberts.

Roberts also says the need for food is only heading in one direction.

"Up, up, up. I wish I could say things were leveling and going down, but that's not what I'm seeing. I see more families, more individuals, everytime our doors are open. New people come and people that have been coming for a long time are still needing to come back," says Roberts.

Roberts says so far they have raised $12,000 dollars to support moving to the new facility.

The center would need $80,000 dollars to make the move.
