Police say a southeastern Ohio man suspected of shooting his estranged wife and another man and fleeing the scene has been arrested on a charge of attempted
Witnesses told police and media they awoke to gunshots and screaming from the victims Saturday morning in Lancaster.
The injured pair was flown to a hospital, and their conditions were not available Sunday.
The Pickaway County sheriff's office says deputies arrested George Conrad, 49, of nearby Tarlton without incident Saturday afternoon about 15 miles southwest of Lancaster.
Conrad was in the Fairfield County jail Sunday. It wasn't clear whether he had an attorney.
Court records show he was charged last year with several misdemeanors, including violating a protective order, telephone harassment and menacing.
