A Cincinnati man was sentenced today to 14 months house arrest after authorities say he used Ohio University internet resources to reproduce files of child pornography onto his computer.

Michael Gruenberg appeared in Athens County Common Pleas Court before Judge Michael Ward.  Gruenberg was arrested in October 2010 on charges of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor and Illegal Use of Minor in Nudity Oriented Material. Then-Athens County Prosecutor Dave Warren said several videos and photographs of female minors in sexual acts and pictures of nude minors were found on the computer.

Current Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says Gruenberg has been placed on five years of community control.

During his house arrest, Gruenberg must write a letter of apology to his family, abide by a curfew, and will not be allowed to use a computer.

Before his sentencing, he served 30 days in jail.
