A special prosecutor assigned to one of the criminal cases against Athens County Commissioner Mark Sullivan is asking the court to send him back to jail.

Meigs County Prosecutor Colleen Williams filed a motion in Athens County Municipal Court yesterday asking to revoke Sullivan's probation.

In July, Sullivan was ordered to undergo an alcohol-drug evaluation after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

He was originally charged with the more serious crime of domestic violence, but agreed to plead guilty to the lesser charge.

Williams says a January domestic violence case where Sullivan is accused of hitting his adult niece with his head in Nelsonville is a violation of his probation from the disorderly conduct case.

She asks Sullivan have to serve the balance of his sentence which is 30 days in jail.

A decision will be made on Williams' request at a hearing February 24 at 1 p.m.
