An autopsy is being done on the body of a man found inside a burned down home in Zanesville over the weekend.
Fire Chief Craig Stemm says the body of Jerry Miller, 52, was found early Sunday morning in the home on Green Street.
Miller's body has been sent to Licking County to determine a cause of death.
Stemm says Miller's body was found near a back rear door of the home and investigators believe he was trying to escape the flames.
No one else was home at the time of the fire.
The fire was called into 911 by someone passing by who saw the flames shooting out of the roof.
Stemm says the home is a total loss and they have not determined what caused the blaze yet.
