The Hodge Podge Play Reading Series will come to close this Sunday at ARTS/West.

After a successful reading of Steve Gold's Women and Guns in January, and David L. Williams' Spake in February, Hodge Podge will conclude with a reading of The Dissolution of Mr. Stein by Marianne Hales Harding, an alumnus of the Ohio University Graduate Playwrighting program.

In The Dissolution of Mr. Stein, Vic Stein, a local political candidate and pillar of the community, creates an online alter ego to do some anonymous research on a popular social networking website. Emboldened by his anonymity, he ventures further and further into his pretend world, only to find that it is very real with very real consequences.

The play will be presented as an informal reading, followed by a potluck and moderated talk-back session. This unique arrangement has been a hit with audiences and performers alike, according to ARTS/West Program Specialist Emily Prince.

"The informal aspect of the Hodge Podge has succeeded beyond our expectations," she said. "We have enjoyed the experiment and will make Hodge Podge a yearly event."

The event is free and open to the public and begins at 2 p.m. Donations will be accepted. For more information, visit www.artswest.blogspot.com.
