Pat Lang of Athens is halfway to a seat in Congress.
Lang, a Democrat, won his primary race yesterday in the 15th District.
But now he goes up against Republican Steve Stivers, the incumbent, who also won a two man contest.
"People understand that Congress is broken and that, to change it, we've got to change who we're sending there," said Lang in a statement sent out after the primary votes were counted.
Lang went on to say that Stivers doesn't understand the values of the Athens-area.
Lang beat Scott Wharton in the primary.
Lang had 55 percent of the vote, while Wharton had 45 percent.
