A senior adviser to the U.S. Department of Education is set to speak in West Virginia about efforts to increase college access.
Greg Darnieder is scheduled to deliver the keynote address to school and community leaders at the College Summit conference on Wednesday in Charleston. Officials say his remarks will focus on efforts to cultivate a college-going culture within schools across the country.
The event brings together administrators from partner school districts to discuss support for students and staff regarding college and career readiness.
College Summit is a national nonprofit group that helps increase success of high schools students in college.
