Two Marietta residents remain in jail on $30,000 bond each for charges of sexual battery involving a family member.

Daniel Hess and Lacey Day are being held at the Washington County Jail.

Washington County sheriff's deputies arrested the two March 27 on a third degree felony charge of sexual battery.

Sheriff Larry Mincks says Hess, 45, and Day, 30, are accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female family member three times beginning in late 2010.

Mincks says Day admitted to being involved in sexual acts with the teenager and Hess.

Hess would not make any specific statements about the events but told investigators that what the victim said happened, did happen.

Both will appear in front of the Grand Jury.
