The Ohio Department of Aging launched its third annual photo project on Facebook this week to celebrate “Older Americans Month” this May.

Ohioans of all ages are encouraged to submit photos on the department’s Facebook page that illustrate the theme “never to old to…”

The top three photos will be featured on the department’s website at the end of May, and the winners will be interviewed for an article in the department’s newsletter.

John Ratliff, assistant chief of communications and government outreach for ODA, said that the Facebook campaign is intended to promote a positive outlook on aging.

“It’s a celebration of the contributions our older citizens have made to society, and it’s a chance for communities to give back and recognize their accomplishments. It’s also a time to promote aging actively and encouraging everyone, regardless of their age, to live life to the fullest,” he said.

Ratliff said photo can be submitted from now until May 16th.
