Support WOUB During The One-Day Radio Campaign!

We understand that WOUB Radio interrupting programming to ask for your financial support isn't your favorite thing.

That's why in 2008 we adopted a one day pledge event.

The One-Day Wednesday pledge event keeps pledging time to a minimum, which allows you to listen to more NPR programming that gives you important news and public discussions that expand your understanding of world events.

In the past one day drives have been successful.

This year, Wednesday, May 9 is One-Day Wednesday. To make One-Day Wednesday a success, we need to meet our goals. We need to raise $30,000 between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Every pledge, every dollar helps pay for the programming you rely on. And this year, you'll have the opportunity to win a new iPad. Throughout the day, you'll also have the opportunity to receive tickets to the Nelsonville Music Festival and other special incentives.

Listen for your chance to receive a 7-course dinner for two at Nine Tables Restaurant in Athens. Nine Tables isn’t just a restaurant, but an intimate two to three hour culinary excursion with a dining option of five or seven courses. Located at 9 North Shafer Street, Athens, Ohio. Reservations are required.  Information available at or 740-707-4966.

All callers, online donors and sustaining members will be included in the drawing for a new iPad. All donors, no matter what the pledge level, will receive a WOUB travel mug.

Make your pledge of support by calling 800-825-1771 or by making your pledge of support online.

Thank you for your support!

A special thanks to Brenen's Coffee and Deli, Kroger and Village Bakery for food donations. AND, Alpha Phi Omega and Women's Club Soccer for volunteering!

A special thanks to Nine Tables (winner is Kent Lankas from Albany, Ohio (one more to give away!) and Nelsonville Music Festival!
