Ohio University junior captain Seth Streich won his second MAC East Pitcher of the Week Award of the season on Monday.

Streich got the award after recording a complete game victory against Akron on Sunday. The Bobcats swept the Zips as Streich threw his third complete game of the year.

Streich struck out six and did not allow an earned run. He walked only one batter, and improved his record to 4-5 on the season. He also vaulted the Bobcats record over .500 on the year.

Streich is the eighth Bobcat to receive a weekly honor this season. Ohio’s pitching staff has accumulated three awards on the year.

Ohio takes on the Dayton Flyers on Tuesday and will conclude the regular season with a three game series at home against Miami beginning on Thursday.

Saturday's game against Miami will be the last of Ohio Head Coach Joe Carbone’s career. Carbone has had a 24 year career at Ohio and is the school’s winningest coach.
