Project List Before ODOT Advisory Council

A state panel that helps set funding priorities for high-cost Ohio transportation projects is set to vote on the new project list.
The advisory council for the Ohio Department of Transportation is scheduled to meet Wednesday.
State transportation staffers previously recommended that planned work on some bridge and road projects be delayed by up to 19 years. They blamed a lack of funds and over-commitment by previous administrations.
Director Jerry Wray and his staff have been searching for alternative ways to pay for some projects sooner. That has led some officials to hope that the advisory council could consider tighter construction timetables for some major projects on the latest list.
