Athens Co. Children Services Still Searching For New Leader

The hunt for a new leader at Athens County Children Services is on again.
The Board had picked Chris Derry for the job of executive director of the agency but now has rescinded a job offer.
Spokeswoman Sherri Oliver says "A verbal offer had been made, but the contract was still in negotiation, and had never been signed nor settled."
A news release says "Additional information was shared with the board prompting the board to resume the search."
Derry works at Summit County Children Services.
Athens County's current executive director is retiring.
