The Ohio University Board of Trustees today approved a plan to lease the old Woolworth Building on Court Street.

The proposed move to the vacant building in downtown Athens is part of a relocation of several academic programs from Lindley Hall.

The project includes some renovation work and has a cost estimate of more than four million dollars.

Lindley will undergo repairs and the building will be vacated.

Four other construction projects were also approved by the Board.

One is a $2.5 million renovation of Bromley Hall and another is $6.5 million to complete the renovations at Nelson Dining Hall

A third project is an $800,000 dollar demolition of the Wolfe/Ullom apartments to prepare for new construction as part of OU's Housing Development Plan.
