Residents in the city of Athens can now resume normal activities regarding their water usage, according to the city's deputy service-safety director.
Ron Lucas said in a press release the city's public water system is now operating at full capabilities, following a water shortage alert issued in the aftermath of Friday's severe weather.
On Monday, city leaders issued the alert.
Residents were asked to avoid filling up pools, watering lawns and washing cars.
Lucas says people any previously banned activities are now permitted, though he advises residents avoid any unnecessary water usage.
