Athens County has just gotten a little over $56,000 as its share of casino money.
The quarterly payment from the Ohio Department of Taxation is tax revenue from the new casinos in Cleveland and Toledo.
Payments were sent for the first time to all 88 counties and Ohio's eight largest cities.
Athens County officials say one more payment will come before the end of the year.
The $56,000 went into the county's General Fund.
