Plant Accident Fatal In Chillicothe

Update 2:20 p.m. We now know a female worker was killed in this morning's fatal mishap at the Glatfelter plant in Chillicothe.
Bill Wilkerson with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration says she was operating a piece of heavy equipment, possibly a bulldozer, when she "somehow was run over by that piece of equipment."
Wilkerson didn't release her name in case her next of kin hadn't been notified.
An official with the OSHA office in Cincinnati is investigating, and the Chillicothe Police Department is assisting.
The Chillicothe Police Department is investigating a fatal mishap this morning at the Glatfelter plant.
It's being called "an industrial accident" and it happened at 7:30 but beyond that we don't have much information.
The police investigation is being carried out jointly with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Glatfelter makes paper products.
