The State Controlling Board released $2 million for remodeling at the Burr Oak Lodge and Conference Center on Monday.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources asked for the money as part of its plan to reopen Burr Oak and attract more visitors.
An ODNR spokeswoman says "The contract should be signed soon and we can get the renovations started."
The project is expected to take several months although the Lodge is supposed to open September 1.
