Announcement Coming On New Development Leader

An announcement is expected today on a new leader for the Athens County Economic Development Council.

Todd Shelton resigned as director back in May to work for U.S. Senator Rob Portman.

A search for a replacement was started and WOUB News has learned that interviews were done and a hiring decision has been made.

The director of the Economic Development Council is responsible for business development efforts in Athens County.
