On this edition of Conversations from Studio B, host Kim Valentour of WellWorks talks with Maghan Lunsford and Michelle Greenfield about their experience riding in the 2012 Pelotonia.

The Pelotonia is a bike marathon that stretches from Columbus, Ohio to Gambier, Ohio.

Generally, riders form teams and tackle as much of the course as they can together.

Each rider collects sponsors to benefit cancer research; many listeners have likely seen the Pelotonia logo and slogan on bumper stickers and t-shirts, featuring an arrow with text that reads “one goal, end cancer."

To date, the 2012 Pelotonia has raised over 11.5 million in research dollars.

Lunsford and Greenfield describe their training regiment, their experience collecting sponsors, and riding the course.
