Conference Basketball Schedules are Set
< < Back to conference-basketball-schedules-are-setThe Mid-American Conference released the 2012-13 conference schedules and the reigning MAC champions will start their season on with a visit from Buffalo on January 9 and then a trip Western Michigan. The Ohio men's basketball team are coming off one of the greatest seasons in program history, and after returing almost every player, the team will look to get to the top of the MAC again this season.
The Ohio women's basketball team will kick off their 2012-13 campaign at the Convo against Akron on January 10. The team won 12 games at home last season, which is the largest number of home wins since the 1985-86 seaosn. Head coach Semeka Randall enters her fifth season leading the Bobcats.
Jim Christian will lead the Bobcats for the first time this season, but is back coaching in the MAC after a stint at Kent State from 2002-2008.
The 'Cats take on rival Miami on January 23 and then again in March. A rematch of the MAC Championship game with Ohio against Akron will take place February 2 and 27th. Christian will see his former team on January 26 and February 16.
The Ohio women's basketball team takes on rival Miami January 17 and March 6.
