For the second straight season, WOUB FM will be airing Ohio Bobcat football on four of its regional FM stations beginning with Saturday’s season opener against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

In an effort to provide additional programming opportunities to the region, WOUB will be broadcasting the Bobcats on WOUC-FM 89.1 Cambridge, WOUL-FM 89.1 Ironton, WOUH-FM 91.9 Chillicothe, and WOUZ-FM 90.1 Zanesville.

Listeners who wish to stay with the usual WOUB FM program lineup can listen to WOUB 91.3 from Athens or tune in online at woub.org/listen at the “Listen Live” tab.

The four regional stations will be airing the “Bobcat Game Day” and “Count Down to Kick-Off” one-hour prior to the game –as part of the Ohio IMG Sports Network production.  The pre-game shows will feature interviews with players and coaches and a break-down of the upcoming game.

Coverage also will include the exciting play-by-play of the game by the broadcast team of Russ Eisenstein and Rob Cornelius, his color analyst.  WOUB Director and General Manager Tom Hodson will join the crew as sideline reporter for all Bobcat home games.

Each game will be followed by the “Postgame Show.”  It will include game analysis and interviews with key players and Bobcat head coach Frank Solich.

This week’s pre-game begins at 11 a.m. with kickoff at noon from State College, Pennsylvania.

WOUB-HD also is covering all Ohio University sports this fall with “The Bobcat Sports Showcase.”  This half-hour weekly show, hosted by Brad Appleton, airs every Friday night at 11 p.m. – right before Gridiron Glory – and on Saturday morning’s at 11 a.m.  It also is broadcast statewide  Saturdays at 4 p.m. on Sportstime Ohio (STO).

Stay tuned to WOUB-TV and to WOUB-FM for the best Bobcat coverage this season.
