The Ohio volleyball team kicked off yet another challenging weekend Friday night against No. 10 Kentucky.
The 'Cats were able to steal set three 25-21 after Kentucky won sets one and two, but the Wildcats claimed the match with a 25-21 set four victory.
Sophomore Kelly Lamberti recorded a double-double with 18 kills and 11 digs, and Chelsea Bilger had 10 kills, six digs, and four blocks.
Some new faces on the team have been making their mark so far in preseason play. Freshmen Abby Gilleland and Meredith Ashy had impressive performances Friday night, similar to last week in the Flyer Classic. Gilleland had 36 assists and Ashy had a team high 13 digs.
The Baymount Invitational will continue all weekend at the Convo. Ohio takes the court against Saturday at 3 p.m. against Western Carolina.
