Traffic on U.S. Route 35 in Jackson County is now open after an accident closed the roadway early this morning.
A transportation employee was directing traffic at the scene while clean-up was underway of a semi-tractor trailer that wrecked in the median.
Officials are still investigating the cause and say they believe the vehicle was the only one involved in the accident.
Eastbound traffic between the five- and six-mile markers, west of Jackson, was limited to the use of one lane.
Officials say the vehicle was hauling a large amount of aluminum, which responders said took a long time to clean up.
One injury was reported.
