A Canton man accused of raping two young boys at the Albany Community Center is sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty.
Richard Merryman, 21, changed his plea to guilty Wednesday in Athens County Common Pleas Court to two counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.
He is sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after 10 years.
Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says in April of 2011 Merryman raped two boys under the age of thirteen in the Albany Community Center.
Both incidents happened during a church function, one taking place in the stairwell and the other in the bathroom of the community center.
