Three Athens County Residents Charged With Trafficking

Two Athens County residents and a Cincinnati man have been arrested for trafficking in drugs.

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly said Roy Kinnon, 37 years-old, of Cincinnati was caught selling heroin out of the Nelsonville apartment of Shannon Carpenter.

Kinnon was arrested for trafficking in heroin.

Carpenter is charged with complicity to traffic in heroin.

While the apartment was under surveillance , another man, Parris Byrd, 19, of Athens entered the residence.

The deputy later stopped his vehicle and found other drugs.

Byrd has been arrested for trafficking in drugs.
