An Athens County man was sucker punched and robbed Tuesday afternoon on Athens westside.
Athens police say Bernhard Guzman was walking from West State Street around 3:15 p.m. when a man jumped out from a bush with a ski mask and punched him.
While he was on the ground, the man punched him a second time.
Police say the man took Guzman's backpack which had a book, folders, and $300 in cash.
Guzman was taken to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
There is no word on his condition at this time.
The suspect was only identified by wearing a gray shirt, ski mask, and athletic shorts.
The case is still under investigation.
