Charges Dismissed in Lucas Assault Case

Charges filed against Ohio offensive lineman Mike Lucas after his Oct. 14 arrest have been dismissed, according to the Athens County Municipal Court website.

Lucas faced Felony 2 assault charges after he and four others allegedly attacked a student sitting on a bench on Ohio’s West Green around 3 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. According to the report issued by Ohio University Police, the incident was alcohol related.

Lucas, a freshman, was suspended indefinitely following the arrest. He remains inactive for Saturday’s contest at Miami. Lucas has played a total of 16 snaps in four games this season.
