After finishing 6-10 in conference play last season and advancing to the second round of the MAC Tournament, Ohio women's basketball is selected to finish fourth in the eastern division in the Mid-American Conference Preseason Poll.
Miami holds the first spot with 16 votes, followed by Bowling Green and Akron. Ohio is trailed by Kent State and Buffalo.
Toledo was picked to win the MAC Tournament and sits on top of the western division after 24 first place votes.
Ohio's season ended in a tough 58-55 loss to Central Michigan at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland in the second round of the MAC Tournament.
The Bocbats will look to start new for 2012-13 on November 8 in an exhibition game against Wheeling Jesuit.
